The Assistance Prof. Salman Hussain Omran from Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center in University of Technology-Iraq, participated the meeting of the Solar Energy Workshop Committee hold by Ministry of Oil on Monday 11/19/2020. The participants agreed to organize a scientific workshop and identify its hubs. The solar energy hubs were for ministry of higher education and scientific research represented by University of Technology / Energy Technology and Renewable Energies Technology Center, ِAl-Anbar University, Ministry of Electricity and Ministry of Oil. The date has been proposed to hold the workshop during March 2021.

The Assistante Prof. Salman Hussain Omran from Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center, University of Technology-Iraq, has participated in the specialized symposium about white paper on Tuesday 10/11/2020, which Prepared by the General Secretariat for the  Council of Ministers. The symposium was organized by the Economic Studies Department/Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies. In this symposium, the advantages and disadvantages of the white paper has been discussed by the participants and the recommendations has submitted to the Presidency of the General Secretariat for the  Council of Ministers.

Lecturers Salam Waley Shneen and Roshen Tariq Ahmedhamdi from Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center at university of Technology/Baghdad are publishing a scientific article that entitled

“Effect of Designing Parameters and Weather
Conditions on the Operation of SCPP in Baghdad”

About the research:

Stanford University has recently released a list that represents the top 2 per cent of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. There is no large-scale database that systematically ranks all the most-cited scientists in each and every field to a sufficient ranking depth. This large database created by experts at Stanford University led by Dr. John Ioannidis is also based on data from SCOPUS that ranks journals and gives a citation index. This database includes the top 2 percent of scientists of the world from different fields on the basis of standardized citation indications. These include information on the number of citations, H-Index, co-authorship and a composite indicator. The exhaustive list has 159683 persons. The present invention introduces the use of a pre-tensioned torsional spring attached to a power transmission chain link to keep the chain in constant tension without loosening and improve chain durability.
