About the patent:

Our invention relates to find a new method to analysis the physical [number (n_po), diameter (d_po), radius of gyration (R_g) and fractal dimension D_f)] and nanostructure (interlayer spacing (d₀₀₂) and the thickness (L_c) and width (La) of the graphene layer) properties of particulate matter (PM) by using two high resolution equipment. Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) and High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) were used to analyses the PM and then subsequent with Matlab code (Digital image process) to evaluate the collected sample from the exhaust gas of actual diesel engine which operated by conventional diesel fuel and renewable fuels (biodiesel and butanol blend).for different temperatures.
